Model and Fabrication Shop Technician (2330-804)

Model and Fabrication Shop Technician- Spokane/Airway Heights
Provides model and tool building in FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastics) and composite casting for sheet metal aircraft components.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide set-up and fabrication of JIT (Just In Time) tools.
Work closely with the Lean Department to help facilitate and support fabrication projects including 5-S events.
Recommends modifications to procedures/techniques.
Check required dimensions using calipers, micrometers and other inspection devices.
Responsible for ensuring proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning and paperless timecard system.
Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents.
Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
Trains others on a variety of tasks and skills.
Works under minimal supervision.
Required Experience
Skills and Experience:
Full understanding of model and tool building processes in FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastics) and composite casting.
Able to work with engineering and operators to meet the needs of designing and completing fabrication.
Requires full proficiency in operation of model shop equipment.
Must also possess basic knowledge of tool design and how manufacturing equipment operates.
Basic understanding of router operations and sketches.
Knows when to stop and ask for clarification.
Able to troubleshoot and recommend solutions in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Working Conditions
Use of protective clothing, glasses, and other equipment to prevent burns and eye injuries.
Physical Requirements
May perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
